Mrs. Layla HARBESON wife of Dr. BM Harbeson passed away at the family home Saturday morning Feb 13 at 2:30 a.m. Mrs. Harbeson had been an invalid for almost 30 years, having been confined to a wheel chair for 22. Although of all the activities of life which she would so much wished to participate in, she always showed a wonderful fortitutde and had a welcome smile for every one she came in contact with and was dearly loved by all who knew her. While everything possible was done for her by a loving husband, sisters and brothers, all to no avail. Her wonderful Christian life was an example of what the spirit of Christ can mean to those who have faith, and it has been said by her legion of friends, "to know her was an inspiration never to be forgotten. She was laid to rest in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Monday afternoon the funeral being conducted at the home at 2 o'clock by the Rev. H Ray Sigler pastor of the Presbyterian Church of which she was a life long member. Scores of friends paid tribute to her memory, not only by their presence but by beautiful floral offerings... she leaves a loving husband, three brothers, Francis W. Kritz of Inglewood, California; Charles and Herbert Kritz of Waveland and four sisters, Mrs. RV Hunter of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. George M. Cowan and Mrs. Albert Keiser of Waveland and her twin sister, Mrs. WL Straughan of Crawfordsville and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn her loss. Mrs. BM Harbeson, daughter of Professor and Mary Brush Kritz, lived in Waveland, Indiana from childhood until her death in the early morning on Feb 13, 1937. She was united in marriage to Dr. BM Harbeson the 5th of Nov 1902. She was graduated from the Waveland HS. She united with the Presbyterian Church at an early age and has always been identified with its activities. - kbz

Mrs. Benjamin N. Harbeson age 60, is dead here (Waveland).  She was the daughter of HS Kritz, principal of the old Waveland Academy and Collegiate Institute. She is survived by the husband, three brothers and three sisters, one of whom is her twin, Mrs. WL Straughn, Crawfordsville. - kbz
